Netzer Gauteng held a fantastic morning of fun and games for its chanichim on the first Sunday of March. A new initiative with the movement has been the introduction of the tri-weekly Kef Days, during which chanichim join us for some weekend fun. This means that they have a great time all year round - not only on Machaneh!

This first event was charged with excitement - chanichim arrived decked out jungle garb - explorers, lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) were among the array of costumes.

The day began with jungle-themed face painting - whiskers on noses for wild cats, camouflage on cheeks for explorers. Once everyone looked the part, they were off! Their mission? To find the hidden treasure in the "jungle"! Chanichim roamed the Beit Emanuel synagogue grounds, looking for stations with activities, puzzle pieces and clues that would lead them to their prize. At these stations were our incredible madrichim, running the event dressed up as spiders and monkeys and even elephants in order to show the chanichim a good time.

A good time was had by all, and we look forward to our next Kef Day event! Thank you to all who took part. See you next time!

Nilmad v'na'aseh! We will learn and we will do!
